Lately...

The last few weeks have been so wonderful! We've been loving being so close to family and in such warm weather! It's only March but it feels like May in Idaho. Ha! We've been gone for too long!

It feels like Evelyn is growing up too fast. She had her first haircut a few weeks ago, and now I think she looks a little more like me when I was little. Gotta love little girls with bangs! She has become so independent! She loves to walk everywhere, and protests rather passionately when we place her in the shopping cart. She would much rather wander the isles and do her shopping on her own. We color pictures about 3 times a day, and blow bubbles just as often. But her absolute favorite thing to do is go outside. She asks for it constantly, and loves when we go for a 'ride' in the stroller. Her vocabulary expands daily. My new favorite word from her is 'cool', like neat or interesting. She is still convinced that she has a baby in her stomach too, and she loves to come up to me and poke my ever protruding belly and say 'baby'. I think she might be a bit disappointed when she figures out that there is no baby in her stomach. But, we'll cross that bridge when we get there!

I have been feeling pretty good. I still get headaches every day or two, but I have been amazingly blessed to be able to still function and cope with the organ like pipes of our toddler! Donny has been such a great help and support to me while handling everything else on his plate! There are just 6 weeks of the semester left, and then he'll be done with his last class for his bachelors. I'm not sure who is excited more, it might be me! Haha.

Recently we were called to speak to the youth of our stake at their youth conference, at the local EFY.  We are so excited for this fun opportunity! It is fun to think back to when I was attending EFY, and it definitely baffles my mind that Donny and I will be speaking to the youth there. We still have a few weeks to prepare, and it has been a lot of fun to study and prep for this lesson.

Everything is falling into place for us to move to Monterey in a few short months. I think about having a baby, and then moving in the same month and laugh. And then realize how blessed we are to be so close to family and friends who can help us. I am so grateful for everything everyone has done already, from babysitting, to apartment referrals, to furniture and job leads, we would be in a pickle without so many wonderful people around to help us out.

So to sum it all up, we are doing great! Loving everything that comes our way! Here are a few pictures of recent adventures! :)
