I just want to start off with a little plug in for Family History work! Donny and I have started going to our ward Family History Sunday School class, and we are loving it! This afternoon we pulled up www.familysearch.org and looked at our family trees. It was a sight to behold! The first thing that caught my eye was Evelyn's record on our family tree! How cool is that? We were both so excited. It really made me realize how grateful I am for the gospel, and the Church. Because she has been blessed and given a name for the Church records, she's here on our family tree. It just reminded me that my little family of three isn't so little! Generations of people! They seem distant, but I can see neat correlations between families and generations. For example, there are several children named after parents, and grandchildren, etc. This makes it all seem so real and close. Its mind boggling to think that these are all children of God, and He knows all of them, and all of us! Infinite love. This makes me so excited to do temple work for them. We found 16 people that need some sort of ordinance done for them. Sixteen! I think of how excited they must be to know that they have been found, and that they are going to be sealed to their family members for eternity. Its humbling to know that Heavenly Father has given us this task. There is so much to do. I was always under the impression that my family history had all been done, and that everything was complete, or close enough they didn't need my help. Boy was I wrong! Needless to say, we can't wait to get started!
So besides going crazy with family history work, we've had a good week! We're moving to a new apartment in November that our friends are moving out of. We're so sad to see our friends leave, they have been so fun and kind, but we are excited to have more space. I am not looking forward to moving everything to the new place, but I am grateful that it is only across the hall!
I have been doing well. I started a new job at Melaluca right before she was born, and then I went on Maternity leave. I started back in the middle of September. I only work 4 days a month, but I pick up a few shifts other people drop during the week. Its nice to get out of the house and have something else going on, but leaving Evy is no easy task. Luckily, we have so many friends that can babysit, and she is always happy to see me when I get home, so its all worth it.
Donny is doing well in his classes. It never ceases to amaze me how he can do so many things in 24 hours. It seems like he is constantly doing one thing or going somewhere or studying something. Even with the elaborate juggling act, he still manages to find time to be with me and Evy. It just goes to prove that I got the best guy out there. I love him more and more everyday!
Evy is also doing well! She is almost 2 feet tall (Well, 2 feet long) and she weighs about 11 pounds! She is growing so fast, and is almost always alert and attentive. In Relief Society today, she was just looking around, squirming like crazy and she was all smiles. She is the perfect baby, and we love her to pieces.
I finally got the pictures from my phone onto my computer, so here they are! They're in order of oldest photos to newest photos. Its fun to see her grow, even though she is still so little :)
Thats it for now! :)
