The past few weeks I have been humbled by all the blessings that have been coming our way. It seems as if the windows of heaven are literally pouring buckets of blessings over us! Most of them are personal, so I won't mention them, but it just proves to me that God is real, and that He knows us each individually. Only He knows the desires of my heart, and He blesses me with what I need, in His timing, which is always the best.
One blessing in particular has dropped my jaw. Next week Donny has an interview in Mesa, Arizona for a job at a charter school there. Most candidates for this job have Master degrees, and have experiece teaching at the college level. And yet, here we are, not even graduated and he is interviewing with them. This is his dream job, and we were hoping to apply and interview with them in a few years...but here we are! It just goes to show that so often we have seemingly amazing plans, but Heavenly Father has even bigger ones!
So next week we are piling into the car and driving down there! Evy will go swimming for the first time, and I will blind the entire state of Arizona with my chalky white legs! It will be such a fun time. Donny will be interviewing with them there, I'll be going to scope out a few potential places to live and enjoying the outdoors with Evelyn.
The most amazing part about this blessing has been the way that it has strengthened my faith. I have always known that God knows about me and my little family. But this experience and others just go to show that He has such wonderful things in store for us. Even if Donny doesn't get this job, I know that Heavenly Father has something else around the corner. Having a more solid and firm trust in the Lord has made all the difference. I know that He will take care of us!
Today we are also celebrating the fact that Evelyn is 6 months old! Time has flown by! It feels like yesterday when we were driving her home from the hospital, feeling completely inept and exhausted. Out of all the blessings in my life, she is by far my favorite. Well, and Donny too :)
